The purpose of this traveling journal is to write a fictional story. You can add illustration if you like. Once the journal is done I plan to make it available as a print on demand book. This will be under Creative Commons Attribution – Share Alike 3.0 Unported http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/. Pick up the book, read what has been written already and add what you would like. Relist the book back on BookMooch within 2 weeks and send it on to the next Moocher. Let TatianaMik know when the book is full and I’ll mooch it back from you.
-Tatiana
This journal was mooched in 2008. Personal stuff intervened and it seems now to be mislaid.

This is one of two traveling bookmooch journals that I intend to give to a friend once it is completed. She is a recently separated mother of two who just lost all her possessions and pet in an apartment fire. I’m hoping these will provide her with some small happiness and humor as she rebuilds her life.
My friend really likes pirates and that is the theme of this journal.

The last moocher to receive this is inactive, unresponsive and no longer at the address given. LOST

I consider myself a connoisseur of peculiar hobbies, habits, and projects. I once made a cardboard chair that I liked so much I even moved with it to another state. I constantly pick up rubbish on the street to craft wind chimes. I run my car on vegetable oil. I knit socks, but never in pairs.
Contribute something your peculiar hobby, habit, pastime, project, or trait to this journal, then pass it along. Your contribution may be a story, a description, a picture, an artifact, or any other imaginative rendering. I would like to have the journal back when it is full. If your entry is the last please contact me: my profile.

This journal will be taken apart later and turned into postcards. You’ll use one page per person, though you’re welcome to pass the journal around among your friends and family before sending it on. On one side, address the page to yourself and decorate it how you like. On the other side, write a letter to your future self and decorate it how you like. This idea is borrowed, in a way, from futureme.org, where you can send emails to your future self. Once this book is full, I will take the pages and send them to you. There are two catches, though: first, this is not private like an email to your future self would be. Obviously, later moochers of the journal will read what you write to yourself. Second, I don’t know how long it’ll take this journal to get around and back to me, so I don’t know if you should write to yourself in two months or yourself in five years.
When this journal is full, please return it to me. My email address is dewpie@gmail.com

Unfortunately this journal has been retained by an inactive moocher and so far all attempts to recover it have failed.

A journal to be filled with whatever you remember of your first fear in life. It could be a bad dream you had when you were two, that time the car caught on fire when you were three and your mom couldn’t get the car-seat to unbuckle, the snowstorm that everyone else said was so pretty but made you feel like you were suffocating, the swimming lesson you took way too early in life, your first bite into an ice cube. The only criterion is that it be your first memory of fear. But “fear” can be interpreted however you want. Drawings, stories, collages, what-have-you.

This is a pass along journal for the members of BookMooch.com. With this journal you will find some paper clippings and some other items. Your challenge is to use at least 5 different items (that came with the book) in your art. Try to be creative, you may alter the clippings in anyway that you wish, the goal here is to make some great art with a little of nothing. Before passing along the journal please add 5 (or however many of the items you used) items back to the bag so there is always enough items being passed along with the journal. If anybody wants to tackle the cover I don’t mind if it is altered.
When completed please contact me, BM ID: mspeegle

This is a journal for everything and anything summer related. Whether it’s summer memories, summer recipes, summer anticipations or summer collages, it belongs here.
Please do not take any longer than 2 weeks with the journal. There is no limit to the number of pages you can use, but please do not take advantage of that. And, since kids are going to be looking at this, I want it to be PG- rated.
When the journal is finished, please contact bm userid: software, my name is Zee and I love summer!
