A Day in Your Life

This journal was first created as an attempt as an art calendar. Which I failed to keep after a month. So I came up with the grand idea of sending my journal around to other artists to create a calendar page of their own, in their own interpretation of the theme so that we might catch a glimpse into a day of each others lives.

Feel free to be as creative as you like – doodle, draw, paint, and sew your soul into your art. I just ask you take proper precaution not to damage other artist’s entries, you can do this by skipping a page between entries if you would like so that inks, paints, glues, etc do not bleed through to the other pages. Another excellent tip is to place wax paper between the pages you are working on and the previously finished layouts. You can do as many pages as you would like.

All I Really Need to Know

This is an Altered Book from The BookMooch Journal Project. The book is a 1989 hardback copy of All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten by Robert Fulghum. This book wants to travel the world and collect life lessons and advice from today’s readers and artists. Feel free to be creative. Use photos, ATCs, ACEOs, multimedia art, paintings, drawings, doodles, stickers, stamps, found objects, and anything else that comes to mind. Text is okay, too! Share your uncommon thoughts on common things, mantras, words to live by, and anything else you think is worthy of sharing. Works can be signed or unsigned.

At the end of this book’s journey, it should be returned to Alicia Edwards who may be reached through her account at BookMooch. (BookMooch ID: aliciaed)

I look forward to seeing the words of wisdom and images you create.

There IS one rule. After you are done adding your art, please put the journal back into this same page I’ve created for it here at BookMooch so someone else can mooch it and add to it, and when it is full, please contact me to arrange return of this treasure to me.

Teddy Bears

The topic of this journal is “Teddy Bears.” Growing up as kids, many of us had our favorite Teddy. Others have had a life long attraction to these cuddly bears. In this journal, please contribute photos, pictures, artwork, stories, and anything else that relates to Teddy Bears. It can be personal or generic…close to the heart or viewed from afar.

When you receive this journal, please add your contribution on one or more pages, then, re-list it on BookMooch so that others can mooch it and pass it on.

Postage Stamp Journal

Postage stamp journal. It is a surprise for my son. He was always into stamps. I would like to get some different stamps for him to view. I would like this book to make it over sea and to get some unique stamps from some other counties. Please have fun with the stamp book.
Thank you

History of Around the World

This journal is about history around the world and about the cities and towns in USA. My son is learning about different places this year in school. I thought it would be interesting to fill the journal with history of where people live.

The Little Book Of Personal Poetry (And Quotes)

This little book is for those quotes and poems that have meant something to you in that way you just can’t describe. Those that for one reason or another have stood out for you, and that you would like to share, along with their meaning, with the BookMooch community.

All you need do is write down the quote and where it comes from, and if you like a small explanation as to where this fits in for you- and of course, if you’re up to it, maybe even a small artwork to accompany it.

When this BMJournal is full, please send this back to me, Snofferol.

I reserve the right to publish these stories as a collection online (for free) or in print (at cost of materials only). This journal also has a website: http://bogomip.net/blog/bookmooch-journal/

Stories should be hand-written in ink, the journal shall remain unmodified and no pages shall be removed or altered. You are free to illustrate your stories, or illustrate an existing story on a new page (provide a page number for the referenced story), but do not add pages or glue pictures in this book. Please number the pages you go, but do not restart the page count.

This project is dedicated to Fred Thomas Saberhagen (May 18, 1930 – June 29, 2007), a wonderful writer whose passing diminishes the light I’ve always read by.

Travelling Tarot Journal

Instructions: Each left-hand page features either a major arcana card, court card, or one of three “blank” cards. Pick one or two that you wish to work with. One the facing right-hand page either provide an original artistic interpretation of the tarot card or – if you are less artistic, and more literary inclined – provide a small piece of creative writing inspired by the card (a unique interpretation, a poem, or anything else you can think of). You can be true to traditional symbolism and meaning or come up with something entirely original – there are no limitations. If you wish to work on this journal and aren’t familiar with tarot, don’t let that stop you – just work off of whatever images or feelings the card provokes. For the three blank cards, you pick which card you want to work with – either a card completed by someone else, or one of the lesser arcana cards not provided, or make up your own! Please at least write the name of the card on the blank card’s banner – you don’t have to provide an image on the blank card, unless you want to, being that you have the entire right-hand page for artisitic interpretation. Also, I have provided a few words of possible interpretation for each card. Feel free to add to any of these as space permits.
