Within this book will be a baggie filled with words with which you may use to create your own “magnetic poetry” . You may also decorate your pages with photo’s, art, scrapbooking, scribbles, etc…anything goes! Feel free to add some words of your own to the baggie before passing it along to the next moocher 🙂

This is a poem book by Jewel that I thought would make a great altered book since alot of her poems are short and there is alot of free space. Feel free to work with the text or pictures or cover the pages completely. No topic to this journal, just be creative.

One of my favorite books is Unleashed: Poems by Writer’s Dogs, edited by Amy Hempel and Jim Shepard. I see there are a couple of pet-oriented journals circulating, and I wonder if my own pets, and maybe yours, would like to get in on the act. I know my current dog at least likes the TASTE of books. I’ve started the journal with a poem my husband wrote for our dog, “A Poem for Our Dog of Little Brain.”
