All I Really Need to Know

This is an Altered Book from The BookMooch Journal Project. The book is a 1989 hardback copy of All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten by Robert Fulghum. This book wants to travel the world and collect life lessons and advice from today’s readers and artists. Feel free to be creative. Use photos, ATCs, ACEOs, multimedia art, paintings, drawings, doodles, stickers, stamps, found objects, and anything else that comes to mind. Text is okay, too! Share your uncommon thoughts on common things, mantras, words to live by, and anything else you think is worthy of sharing. Works can be signed or unsigned.

At the end of this book’s journey, it should be returned to Alicia Edwards who may be reached through her account at BookMooch. (BookMooch ID: aliciaed)

I look forward to seeing the words of wisdom and images you create.

There IS one rule. After you are done adding your art, please put the journal back into this same page I’ve created for it here at BookMooch so someone else can mooch it and add to it, and when it is full, please contact me to arrange return of this treasure to me.

Teddy Bears

The topic of this journal is “Teddy Bears.” Growing up as kids, many of us had our favorite Teddy. Others have had a life long attraction to these cuddly bears. In this journal, please contribute photos, pictures, artwork, stories, and anything else that relates to Teddy Bears. It can be personal or generic…close to the heart or viewed from afar.

When you receive this journal, please add your contribution on one or more pages, then, re-list it on BookMooch so that others can mooch it and pass it on.

Travelling Tarot Journal

Instructions: Each left-hand page features either a major arcana card, court card, or one of three “blank” cards. Pick one or two that you wish to work with. One the facing right-hand page either provide an original artistic interpretation of the tarot card or – if you are less artistic, and more literary inclined – provide a small piece of creative writing inspired by the card (a unique interpretation, a poem, or anything else you can think of). You can be true to traditional symbolism and meaning or come up with something entirely original – there are no limitations. If you wish to work on this journal and aren’t familiar with tarot, don’t let that stop you – just work off of whatever images or feelings the card provokes. For the three blank cards, you pick which card you want to work with – either a card completed by someone else, or one of the lesser arcana cards not provided, or make up your own! Please at least write the name of the card on the blank card’s banner – you don’t have to provide an image on the blank card, unless you want to, being that you have the entire right-hand page for artisitic interpretation. Also, I have provided a few words of possible interpretation for each card. Feel free to add to any of these as space permits.

Green Squares

Write a note, add a story, add your artwork. Decorate some pages. Only one rule: somewhere on each page of your contribution, include a green square.

You are encouraged to sign your contribution, with your BookMooch username and your name if you wish, along with the date you completed your artwork. Feel free to pass the book around to your local friends, who aren’t on BookMooch, as long as you’re confident they will get it back into the system.

After you and your fellow creatives are done adding your art, please put the journal back into this same page I’ve created for it here at BookMooch so someone else can mooch it and add to it, and when it is full, please contact [Tim] who may be reached through his account at BookMooch [http://www.bookmooch.com/m/bio/ereneta], to send the journal home.

Dear Diary

BMJournal Dear Diary was started by a woman who is in her II stage of HIV disease. I am her friend, Merri. She has asked me to pass along this journal after I told her about Book Mooch journal project.

When I asked her what to say, she laughed and said do anything. So…I’m assuming that means write however many pages you want with drawings, clips, words–anything. She based hers off of her experiences with certain travels, but I don’t really think she cares what anyone writes about (a little vague, yes, i know).

Anyways, happy passing!

The World is Your Catalog

This is a pass along journal. I recently started living my life by “The Secret” or The Law of Attraction. I thought it would be neat to start a journal of things that I would like to have or to “attract” to me & it would be fun to see what others want as well. The World is Your Catalog so if money were no object show or write what you would like to have. Feel free to take as many pages as you need. Have fun with this!

When the journal is full please return to me, BookMooch ID: mspeegle. Thanks!

Make it what you want

Make it what you want. This journal has ivory-coloured lined pages designed to be easy on the eyes and conducive to writing. If you want to draw on unlined paper, you will need to glue your pictures in. There is a pocket at the front and a rigid back cover. This is the first journal I have created for sharing with the rest of the BookMooch world. This journal is being tracked on the yahoo group BMJournalers. Please join this group if you intend to mooch this journal, and post to the group as well as placing the journal in your inventory once you have made your contribution to the journal. The usual timeframe for making an entry in a travelling journal is up to two weeks, then send it on to the next lucky moocher. Have fun with this! Cheers, jael

This journal began its travels in 2007, went to 23 moochers and was returned to its creator in 2010.
