Who’s There? Ghost Stories

Have you ever seen a ghost? Did you happen to get a photo of it? Would you tell us the story? Or is there a fictional ghost story you’d like to recommend? I’ve never seen a ghost myself, but I love the stories and also I’m fascinated by photographs of ghosts. I’ve started this journal with a copy of a famous ghost photo taken in England in 1995.

Lost Touch

This is an altered address book that is scattered with people I have lost touch with. January 10th, 2008 my partner of 7 years told me she wanted a separation. I think that even living together we lost touch. Now we need to figure out if we can ever find each other and ourselves…

This journal means a lot to me so please try to keep it moving. If you find you are no longer participating on bookmooch still drop me an email and I will figure out a way to get it back.

-Juliana (Jules)

Unfortunately this journal was received in August 2009 by a journaller who became inactive and unresponsive shortly after, efforts to recover it have failed.

Queer Fears and Wacky Phobias

Everybody’s afraid of something. There’s arachnophobia – afraid of spiders. There’s fear of enclosed spaces – claustrophobia. These are fairly common fears, that many people share.

Now, this journal requires a little research. You are going to find a more unusual fear, and you will tell us about it. Perhaps it is a fear you suffer yourself; perhaps it’s something you’ve only heard about. A fear of cooking? Mageirocophobia. Terror of Epistaxiophobia? That’s nosebleeds. Give us the name of the phobia you’ve found to share, a description, and then have fun with it! Write a story about it. Or a poem dedicated to it. Illustrate it. Love it. Make it beautiful – make it horrible. Take a bizarre phobia and make it your own.

Disclaimer: If you fear you suffer phobophobia, the fear of phobia, please consider refraining from this journal. 😉

A Little Book of Linked Poetry

This is a sort of free-form on the time-honoured renga tradition. Haiku and senryu both are welcome, each poem must be inspired by some aspect of the one preceding it (be it a word, an image or a whole verse).

Please, a single poem per page and write only on the right-side (so, not on the back of another’s haiku), put your name and country on the page of your contribution.

When the booklet is full contact me (user ID seleya) and I’ll mooch it back from you.

I emailed the last person to have this journal but have received no response. It must probably be regarded as lost.

What a Long Strange Trip It’s Been

This is a Bookmooch traveling journal. It is a travel journal published by Ulysses Travel Guides that I picked up at a local used book sale.

The theme for this journal revolves around a story line that I present in the opening entry. The basic idea is this: I win a fictional vacation on a weird game show and embark on a surreal and strange adventure. At the end of this trip I wind up, as all the ‘winners’ of the game show do in a McDonald’s in Hamelin Germany for “debriefing, group therapy and beer.” This is where my fictional character hands off the journal for the next participant to write how their “strange trip” went.

By contributing to this journal you give permission for me to reprint your story, (crediting you as the author) for non-commercial purposes, though you retain ownership of your own story. If there is sufficient interest I might scan or reprint the story for all to read. Of course, if everyone submits their story to the Bookcrossing online journal, I may not need to do this.

I’m thinking of something orange: a journal celebrating all things literally and figuratively orange

Add your own artwork, collage, or literary musings on the color orange.

Although there were a few free pages when I had this journal, it was returned to its creator, as it was overfilled for the spine to take the strain. The creator has since been inactive and has not responded to emails, so it must be regarded as completed and returned to its creator.

Holidays

I thought this journal would be nice, since the holidays are around the corner. Holiday art journal-Feel free to be as creative as you would like-draw, paint, write a short story, write a poem, and even find some creative work off of the computter. You can pick whatever holiday is your favorite and one you may like the least. You can express how you feel about a certain holiday. Maybe you would like to add a holiday tradition to the journal. Have fun with this journal. A birthday is a holiday too. Please email me when the journal is done. Then I will mooch it back from you.
