Secrets

This journal is based on the website PostSecret.com. On the site, people send anonymous postcards to the owner, telling secrets they would never reveal to anyone. So this journal works the same way: You write down and illustrate a secret of yours, and then you send the book along. Feel free to sign with your name, but you absolutely don’t have to – they are secrets after all.Take as many pages as you want, but don’t alter anyone else’s work. Relist and send the journal along as soon as possible after receiving it. When the book is full, please contact me (Hannah; BMid: hanhel) so that I can mooch it back from you.Reviews: Hannah (Israel) (2010/12/14):I threw in a few secrets from the website so that also the first few users secrets can stay anonymous.

Not sure why, but this journal never had the link attached to send journallers to its entry here, and now it appears to be retained by an inactive and unresponsive journaller.

Colours, that are but skin-deep: in the pink.

The title of this journal comes from a well-known phrase “in the pink” meaning in good health or good heart. The first part of the title is a quotation from Matthew Henry (1662-1714) from his Commentaries, Genesis:’Many a dangerous temptation comes to us in gay, fine colours, that are but skin-deep.’

Pink is a colour that inspires love and hate. I can remember my younger son refusing to wear anything with pink in it, but his niece wanted an entirely pink room when she was little. Please draw, paint, stick pictures, write poetry or just give us your ideas about pink. This website may give you some ideas.

Please keep to the normal two weeks for making your entry and relisting this journal with the number on the inside front cover. Please keep the track of its progress by always mooching normally – if you wish to give someone points back for an unavoidable delay or some personal reason, get them to mooch it as usual and then return points. That way it can be traced through its mooch history. If you have not seen the places where journalling is described and its rules laid out please look at:

I challenge you to use this stuff!

The idea of this journal is simple: When you receive it, check out the envelope on the first page; you will find five small pictures. Use those pictures in your entry – write about them, incorporate them in your artwork, make a collage; whatever you want. Then add five new pictures to the envelope for the next person to use – you can draw them yourself, print them or cut them out of a magazine; again, it’s all about your ideas.Be as creative as you want, but please don’t alter anyone else’s work. Please relist and send the journal along as soon as possible after receiving it. When it’s full, contact me (Hannah, BMid: hanhel) so that I can mooch it back from you.

My Favourite Fairies
