Do you plant a garden every Spring? What do you plant? What went right, and what went wrong? Did you enter your blooms or vegetables in a Fair? Did you win a blue Ribbon?

Down in the Valleys of Life

Do you ever have a bad day? Does life give you pits instead of cherries? Did your hair turn out a bit too curly today? Was that next door neighbor screaming at your dog again? Did your pie cook too long? Did your best friend tell a secret she vowed never to express?

If you can say yes to any or all of these, then you have gone into the valleys of life! Share those days (or nights) with your Bookmooch friends, and tell how you climbed out.

This journal is in conjunction with HIGH ON THE MOUNTAINTOPS OF LIFE. Look for this journal as well!

When this journal is full, please send it back to Debbie Hoggan.

High on the Mountaintops of Life

What is your favorite memory of a real high in life? The day you graduated from High School? The day you married your childhood sweetheart? Hearing the first cry of your first newborn? Sending your child to their first day of kindergarten? Sending your baby off to a foreign land? Looking into your wife’s/husband’s eyes and loving them even more?

Share with your Bookmooch friends and tell when you climbed the highest mountaintops of life. This journal is in conjunction with DOWN IN THE VALLEYS OF LIFE. Look for this journal as well! When this journal is full, please send it back to Debbie Hoggan.

A Simple Guide to Improving Your Backhand

No, it isn’t about tennis. But you can improve your game. This little book, saccarhin sweet on the outside, full of venom on the inside, is the place for you to record those little digs, jabs and full on insults usually delivered in a ‘butter wouldn’t melt’ tone of voice.

I want your best, and worst, backhanded compliments. Feel free to use famous quotes (but stay away from Winston Churchill – they’re getting a bit old.) Feel free to expand and tell stories to put things into context and feel free to re-write history so that you can say the perfect thing at the right moment.

Oh, and by the way, I love the shirt you’re wearing. It makes you look so much thinner!

Please mail me clair_rigby (UK) when the Journal is complete (or it it gets a bit stuck along the way) and I will mooch it back from you. Now, get stuck in with the crayons!

Music from One Moment

Everyone has a song that evokes a particular moment from their past. This is a BookMooch Journal about those songs and what they mean to you. Draw, write, represent your songs and memories however you like. Feel free to use multiple songs and pages. After 2 weeks, please re-list the journal for someone else to mooch and contribute to. When the book is full, or close to it, contact me (blueclaire) and we can arrange its return to me. This isn’t a large book so it shouldn’t be too expensive to post 🙂

This is my first BM Journal and I really love the idea!

Lovely Laura’s Mini Mooch Free-For-All

This is my first BM Journal and sort of a dry run – it’s a tiny little book (pages are about 8.5 X 6.5cm), therefore very cheap to post! There is no theme as such, but your art/writing will no doubt be influenced by the size of the pages and the following rules: your contribution must take up ONE PAGE ONLY, and must be on only one side of the paper – no double pages. You can sign your work, or remain anonymous; you can keep the book for longer than two weeks if some of your friends or family want to add a page of their own; you can add anything, from a simple sketch or quote to a long(ish) poem or an elaborate artwork! If I receive it back in one piece, completed, I’ll add some bigger, themed journals.

And please, if you add anything of an adult nature, add a review stating this, so as not to offend any future moochers.

Raising Teenagers

This a journal about raising teenagers in this time and era. Maybe you have a story to tell.Or a word of encouragement.

Would love to pass a round this book so everyone can add a story or a helpline. Be a teen is tough. We need to learn how to steer them in a right direction with out hurt or making them feel they are alone in this big world.

I thought this book can help someone are maybe have a story that relate to a teen. It is a tough world out there when you feel you are alone. It will be a great insight into to their world and their veiws. We need to stop a listen.
