Free Fill

My daughter and I love to journal and be creative so we’re creating a set of journals on various subjects to celebrate shared art and creativity.
This journal is blank and ready to be filled with whatever you choose 🙂 The first few pages have some random thoughts and art in already and you’re welcome to add any art, words, stories, poems, songs, doodles or photos. It is a Free Fill journal where you can create whatever you wish!
Use as many or as few pages as you’d like to share your creativity.
Please don’t alter anyone else’s work.
Please make your entry and then relist here within two weeks.
Have fun!
When this journal is complete please reserve it for me and I will mooch it back from you. If you are unable to complete the journal within time or have any issues with it please contact me here and I’ll mooch it back again.

Second Homeland Recipe Book

The Second Homeland Recipe Book: Please put in your second-homeland recipe. It could be a recipe(s) you found while in your second homeland, it could be a recipe from your (first) homeland that has conquered the members of your new. My second homeland is Dresden, Germany. And as a baker, I found that a few of mine imported, American baked goods (which lacked the proper words for translation) were not just more of a hit in Germany than they were in my first homeland, the US, but they won over the hearts and stomachs of the Germans. Therefore, please, share with us your second homeland recipes.
When this journal is complete please reserve it for me and I will mooch it back from you. If you are unable to complete the journal within time or have any issues with it please contact me and I’ll mooch it back again –> User ID: wheelerc

A Drama Teacher’s Handbook

When complete, I would love to gift this to a close friend and fellow Education major as a book of inspiration and fun thoughts.
She’s a future Theater Arts teacher (1 year away as of 2010!) who adores Shakespeare, and her interests are many and varied. Feel free to incorporate one or more of the following themes: cats, art, animals, mythical beasts, costuming/costume design, comics, Harry Potter, wolves, fencing, Victorian and Renaissance fashion, crafting, Celtic art/culture, pirates, interesting hats, ancient weaponry, cars, cooking, tea, and computer/video games.

All additions are welcome – photos, art, writing, collage, or any other response you can think of! Use one page or several, but I have three requests:
1) Please respect the other art, and don’t alter other works.2) Please re-list the journal within two weeks of receiving it.3) Please mark your page(s) with your Name/BM ID and/or where you’re from 🙂
My Bookmooch ID is: PeppermintKiwi
Unfortunately this journal has been kept by an inactive moocher and all attempts to recover it so far have failed.

BE HONEST! What TV Shows Are Set To Record On YOUR DVR or TIVO Right Now? EVERYTHING! No Matter If You Forgot To Remove It Or Not! NO FIBBING!!!

BMJournal-BE HONEST! What TV Shows Are Set To Record On YOUR DVR or TIVO Right Now? EVERYTHING! No Matter If You Forgot To Remove It Or Not! NO FIBBING!!!… This should prove to be interesting and informative. I am a bad one to leave shows that I know were cancelled on my DVR… I guess in hopes that they might come back someday, or for a maybe a rerun or two. I have my favorites that I just have to see! I rarely watch them at the time they come on anymore. I can zip thru the commercials that way when I watch them on the DVR. How did I live before the DVR? So, I am always looking for a new recommendation or two and I thought this might be a great way to do it. So turn on your TV and look at your DVR or TIVO. Tell the truth! Do you (like me) have RuPauls DragRace set to record faithfully? Is Survivor or Dancing With the Stars your dirty little secret? Enquiring minds want to know! So give us a “Tell All” on your DVR or TIVO. And do it in anyway that pops into that twisted little brain of yours! (Don’t worry, mine is littler and twisteder!) Have fun with it.Here I go, sending out another bmjournal. It is a thin, smallish book. It is only 5″x7″ inches and just has about 60 pages in it and very light. Don’t keep it more than a week or two. It will get around quickly, and be inexpensive to mail also.Get wild and crazy! I don’t care. My journals are always rated “R”. Just have fun. Get as creative as you would like, add a drawing, write a poem or a thought. Anything and everything goes! From collages, photos, ACEO, altered art, scrapbooking, & quotes, to anything else that “floats your boat”. Please stick to two pages (a double spread) but if you just have to go to 4 pages, okay 6 if you really have that much on your TIVO, (if you need more than that you didn’t get this journal as you are spending your time watching TV) in the journal per person- I would like as many people as possible to share! (But if you have ever seen a journal I have done, you know how I get around that!) Feel free to use the triple page inside covers too!I left the front & back covers incomplete, so everyone can add one or two items as a collective artwork.
Please be respectful. Don’t write on the same page of someone else’s contribution, and don’t change or add to anyone’s entry. (Except, of course, for the cover art work.) Just be courteous of others. If you feel up to it, share something about you…as little or as much as you want! It would be nice to put your name, state or country, date your work & use your bookmooch info. If you do Artist Trading Cards send one to me via my contact info in the book and I will gladly send you one of mine.
If you mooch this book you are stating that you are willing to ship it anywhere in the world. No matter what your setting are on BookMooch. Please, when this book is full return it to me by listing it on bookmooch and I will mooch it back from you. Or mailing it to me. Thanks!Cathy Hogue (aka Velcrodog)

Who Do You Mooch the Most Journals From and Who Mooches the Most Journals From You

This journal is the “BMJournal – Who Do You Mooch the Most Journals From and Who Mooches the Most Journals From You”.

This is going to be interesting. Each person should make a 6 page entry. (Hint: If that scares you- write big!) Always refer to the people and yourself, by the bookmooch ID, no addresses or phone numbers or email addresses please, nor names of kids or husbands.

FIRST TWO PAGES-The person that mooches from you the most…. WHO is that person? What kind of an idea do you have of him or her? Are they serious or jovial? How old are they? What job do they have? What do they look like? What is their house like? Do you think they have a family? What kind of pets? Pull a picture off the internet of what you think they look like. Etc. etc. etc. Take 2 pages and draw from what you know and what you think.

SECOND TWO PAGES-Then take a 2 pages and talk about yourself, a picture, a short bio, the answers to the above questions and other information about you. Don’t make it too personal, keep it safe, and leave out your social security number, lol!IMPORTANT – NOW, PAPERCLIP the pages describing YOU together so the next person who gets the book can read it WITHOUT READING THE REAL BIO’S OF EVERYONE, just the imaginary ones. That is until they have done entering their own entry and the “Mooches from you” and “You mooch from” entries. Then they can go back and see if their “frequent moocher” is in one of the paper clipped pages. NO cheating! Honor System!

THIRD TWO PAGES-The person that mooches from you the most…. WHO is that person? What kind of an idea do you have of him or her? How old are they? Are they married? Do they have kids? What job do they have? What do they look like? What is their house like? Do you think they have a family? What kind of pets? Just the same as the first two pages. Etc. etc. etc. Take 2 pages and draw from what you know and what you think. Pull a picture off the internet of what you think they look like.

Here I go, sending out another bmjournal. It is a thin, small spiral bound book. It is only 7″x5″ inches and just has about 78 pages in it and it’s light. I’m a legal alien

This is a journal about living in a foreign country on a long-term basis or forever. I immigrated to Israel three years ago, and although I am generally well-adjusted, not a day goes by without me noticing somehow that I wasn’t born here. There are just so many little things that don’t seem natural or obvious to me.I’m sure there are others on Bookmooch who are living in a country that is different from the one they grew up in – be it temporarily or for good. I would like to hear about your every-day experiences living in a foreign place.
I created this journal out of one of the many brochures about different institutions that I received when I came to this country; this particular one is about the services of a health insurance company. You can use the pictures in it for your entry (they’re kind of cute), but you can also just cover up entire pages. Use as many pages as you want, just please don’t alter anyone else’s entry.
I suggest you relist the journal on your inventory immediately after marking it received (since you’ll already be on Bookmooch anyway :)) – this will make it available as soon as possible for other moochers, and remind you to make an entry. Don’t worry about time pressure – you can always tell a moocher that it will take you a little longer to send out their book.
When the brochure is full, please contact me (Hannah; BMID: hanhel), and I will mooch it back from you. If you are having trouble getting the book back out to someone, feel free to contact me as well, I will try to find a solution.

This journal has just arrived 7 months after being marked sent.

Can’t see London, Can’t see France, Unless we see your Underpants- a tribute to the Transportation Security Administration

Thanksgiving guests flew down to Florida this year and yes, the weather is nice here, but is going through airport security worth it??? Lol! This is a tongue in cheek journal. This is all about the fun times you have had trying to get on or off a plane, what strange things have happened to you or a friend. What it used to be like in the “good ole days” compared to today… or anything that pops into that twisted little brain of yours! (Don’t worry, mine is littler and twisteder!) Have fun with it.Here I go, sending out a bmjournal. It is a thin, smallish book. It is only 6″x6″ inches and just has about 18 pages in it and very light. Don’t keep it more than a week or two. Do you know who I am? A journal of detection and discovery. BEWARE!

In searching through bios, pending lists and histories to trace lost and stalled journals I have found out a lot of things about the journallers on Bookmooch. So this journal was born. This journal will operate differently to most other journals, in that it should be relisted as soon as it is received. When you receive it please add a photo, or photos or a drawing etc. of yourself, add your name and BM id and date. Then, when it is requested you have a maximum of a fortnight to find out and write about the journaller who has asked for it, using the Bookmooch resources of the moocher’s bio, history and pending list, and any other resources you care to investigate. Write what you have discovered about the Bookmoocher who requests journal!

The BEWARE! refers to the fact that you must commit to posting the journal on within two weeks of a request, so if you may be too busy to make an entry when the journal is requested, please don’t mooch it in the first place!

Please also make sure the requestor understands what is involved. Many journals are mooched ‘by accident’ by people who are not journallers, and many of these are then not relisted or incorrectly listed.

Have fun discovering things about other journallers!

The Illustrated Home Library Encyclopedia Vol. 2 AMM to AZT

This is a book I have started to alter and I want everyone else to have fun with it. I have already glued the pages together and it is ready for you to gesso or scrap it or paint it or whatever! The pages that the book is “opened” to are topics like…Ammunition Amphitheater, Amsterdam, Amundsen, Anchovy, Andalusia, Fra Angelico, Animal life, Anteater, Antelope, Antenna, Saint Anthony, Susan B. Anthony, Anthrax, Anthropology, Apricot, April, April Fools’ Day, Aptitude tests, Aquamarine, Aquaplaning, Arabia, Archaeology, Archery, Archimedes, Argentina, Arizona, Armistice, Armor, King Arthur, Artichoke, Artificial Respiration, Assyria, Aster, Asteroid, Asthma, Astigmatism, Athlete’s Foot, Athletics, Atlanta, Austria, & Aviation (with pictures of Icarus & how men came to fly).
So, if any of those are something you would like to work into your work go for it! I have NOT Gesso’ed any of the pages, just the cover, so you can cover the pages completely or use the pictures or words on the page as part of your work. You can scrap right over them or paint them over… Again, whatever floats your boat. (worried you don’t have gesso? Regular house paint will work too!)
Get as creative as you would like, add a drawing, write a poem or a thought. Anything and everything goes! From collages, photos, ACEO, altered art, scrapbooking, & quotes, to anything else that “floats your boat”. Please stick to two pages (a double spread) in the journal per person- I would like as many people as possible to share! but, if you just have to do another page- go for it. Feel free to use the pages on the inside covers too! You DO NOT have to go in order, jump around and pick the pages you want to work on.
I left the front & back covers incomplete, so everyone can add one or two items as a collective artwork. I think it would be fun to start your cover artwork by using someone else’s cover art for your inspiration. This way it would be a chain of creativity that you could see.
Please keep this for a maximum of 2 weeks and then list it again! Thanks!
When this journal is full, PLEASE CONTACT ME, VelcroDog, AND I WILL MOOCH IT BACK FROM YOU!
Have at it friends! Enjoy!
Sincerely,
VelcroDog
