Inspired by India

I would like this journal to be inspired by the wondrous nation of India. Writing, photographs, art, poetry, all based on India.

The Little Black Book of Grinny-Faces

What’s a Grinny-Face? It’s a childhood name for faces that scare me. Think staring eyes and an evil grin and you have the idea.

Add or draw a picture of a Grinny-Face that scared you as a child, or still haunts you as an adult! It can come from a film, a book, a toy, a nightmare or a waking daydream.

A BookMooch Story, Book 4

This story as written so far has mentions of nudity (skinny dipping) so I’m going to state MATURE READERS ONLY just to be safe.

What will this be? A Mystery? A Romance? A Fantasy? This is a collaborative work of fiction by the BookMooch Journalers. Read what has previously been written. Add to the story. Then re-list it and pass it on. Please only keep the book for a maximum of 2 weeks. I understand that real life takes priority, but please pass it on and re-mooch it later if you cannot complete in that length of time so others can enjoy.

When the journal is full, re-list it and mark it reserved for me (BM ID: tatianamik) and I’ll mooch it back.

Tag You’re It

I love to scrapbook and do anything crafty, so naturally I like to make my own tags and embellishments. I created this journal for the craft enthusiast like me who wants a chance to show off his or her skills or special techniques through tags.

Guidelines:
Create a tag or reuse one from new clothes you have bought by painting it or giving it some kind of creative flare. Occasionally I find tags that I just love on my clothes and I use them as inspiration for scrapbooking pages or other tags. If you have something you used to inspire the tag that you can include a picture of or possibly glue in that would be great too. If something is your inspiration please state that you did not create it and put it next to what it inspired. Pre-made tags bought at Michael’s or another craft store are ok but I would like you to add your own touch to them by adding stickers, text, ribbon, etc. Add one tag or add a whole page. Please be sure and label each tag with your name, state, and BookMooch ID. Doodling, other info, and creativity are encouraged!

1. While guidelines are there to give you ideas and are not mandatory I would greatly appreciate if you would follow the following rules:
– Only take 1-2 weeks to make your entry
– Do not damage or add to anyone else’s entries in anyway shape or form.
– When you have finished with the journal please re-list it on BookMooch, or if you know of someone who might be interested in putting in an entry tell that person and reserve the journal for him or her.
– Make sure you include your name, state and your BookMooch ID, and if desired a picture of you.

When the journal is full let me know and I will mooch it back home.
Thanks for contributing to this journal and I hope you have fun making your entry!

Also, for the last journal I posted I asked that everyone add some ribbon to the spiral. So for this journal I thought it would be cool to make it a tradition for my BM Journals. So if everyone who made an entry tied a string or ribbon to the spiral of the book that would be great, not mandatory, just a fun thought.

Special People of Life

Many of us have them in our families, in our neighborhoods, or a member of our church. Some have Down’s Syndrome, some have learning disabilities, Some are blind, deaf, have cerebral palsy or autism. Some have neurological disabilities, some are in wheelchairs, use walkers, or even have an unknown disability that is still yet to be discovered.
Yet, they have effected our lives one way or another. Some have grabbed at your heartstrings, and those you admire for how they look at life.

This is your time to share with your Bookmooch friends of the special needs people you have met, And how they have effected you in some way.

All I ask is not to change anyone’s work, or write over it, or cover it up. Keep within the two week time limit, and then post it to have some one else mooch it.

When this journal is full, please send it back to Debbie Hoggan (Bookmooch ID: hogganclan)

Kind Services of Life

Doing a kind service for someone always warms one’s heart. Do you have a story, picture, poem, or prose to share Which tells of a kindness that someone has done for another? Perhaps someone has helped paint an elderly person’s home. Have you seen someone take a dinner in to someone who is ill? Perhaps one has done swash or house cleaning for someone out of the kindness of their heart?

This is your time to share with your Bookmooch friends Your stories of kind services rendered or witnessed. All I ask is not to change anyone’s work, write over it, or cover it up. Keep within the two week time limit, and then post it to have some one else mooch it.

When this journal is full, please send it back to Debbie Hoggan (Bookmooch ID: hogganclan).
