Counting My Blessings: A Journal of Things to Be Thankful For

I found this unused gratitude journal at a “used” booksale and decided to share it with my fellow bookmoochers. It’s designed to be a daily journal where you list five things you are thankful for on each day. Each page has three days, so I’m not expecting any kind of strict adherence to this format. Use the whole page or multiple pages to write, draw, or collage what you are thankful for. When you are finished, please relist on bookmooch for the next person to add an entry. If you are the last person to mooch this book, please return it to me and I’ll ’smooch’ you a point to cover the postage.

Holidays

I thought this journal would be nice, since the holidays are around the corner. Holiday art journal-Feel free to be as creative as you would like-draw, paint, write a short story, write a poem, and even find some creative work off of the computter. You can pick whatever holiday is your favorite and one you may like the least. You can express how you feel about a certain holiday. Maybe you would like to add a holiday tradition to the journal. Have fun with this journal. A birthday is a holiday too. Please email me when the journal is done. Then I will mooch it back from you.

Create-a-Saint

Sometimes it seems like there’s a patron saint for EVERYTHING – there’s Ulric, the Patron Saint against Vertigo, Anthony of Padua for Seekers of Lost Articles, and Hubert of Liege, Protector of Precision Instrument Makers – and yet, sometimes it seems like there’s no one looking out for us in our times of need.

So now it’s your turn to create your personal patron saint! For example, there may be saints for shepherds and wool manufacturers, but where is the saint against Itchy Wool Sweaters? Manufacture a life history and record a few miracles for your saint, and be sure to include an image too!

The Letter A

Find an image that starts with the letter A, paste it, draw it, paint it, sew it, etc. onto your page in a layout featuring the object or you can journal around it as to what that item means to you.

1st book in a 26 book journal set.

This is a collaborative art journal.

You are welcome to mooch it and add a entry into it. Feel free to be as creative as you like – doodle, draw, paint, and sew your soul into your art. I just ask you take proper precaution not to damage other artist’s entries, you can do this by skipping a page between entries if you would like so that inks, paints, glues, etc do not bleed through to the other pages.

Another excellent tip is to place wax paper between the pages you are working on and the previously finished layouts. You can do as many pages as you would like. But be sure to post it back up to be mooched by other BMJournalers or contact me when it is full so that I may mooched back home.

Please relist using this description so that I may track where it has traveled.

To see a gallery of images or to send me a scanned image of your layout you completed for this journal go here: The Letter A gallery.
