For a New Vegetarian

My doctor recently told me to look at a vegetarian diet because of high cholesterol. My daughter has been a vegetarian for a few years, but it’s
something new to me. Can you help me with stories or recipes for good
veggie meals
or hints for sticking to a vegetarian diet? Words, pictures
or art welcome!

Please don’t write or draw over other contributions.

When full, please return to jfit!

Super Simple Fast Recipes

I don’t like to cook, but I do like eating! Also, as a single type person, I hate spending lots of time cooking for just me. I’m also not very good at inventing or finding recipes, so I’m asking you, the BookMooch Community, for your simple Recipes. Feel free to add pictures, talk about what the recipe means to you, or maybe explain an ingredient if it is only found regionally!

When I get the book back, I will scan the pages into a PDF and make it available for download so everyone can have the recipes!

We Don’t Eat Meat: Vegetarian/Vegan Stories, Recipes and Tips

Well the title pretty much says it all. This is a journal for vegetarians and vegans to share their experiences, thoughts, recipes and tips about the vegetarian/vegan lifestyles. Not a vegetarian but have a great story about a one or a vegetarian recipe to share? That is great too, just keep it positive about us vegetarians – we can be sensitive.

Please be respectful of the two week time limit and of other entries. When this journal is full, please please please, send it back to Katherine Ransbottom.

Alcohol, Party-Time Necessity

One of my favorite songs from the Barenaked Ladies begins with these lines:
Alcohol, my permanent accessory
Alcohol, a party-time necessity
Alchool, alternative to feeling like yourself
O Alcohol, I still drink to your health

Now, I am not one to condone excessive drinking or alcoholism, but let’s face it – a cocktail now and again ain’t too bad! This book is for gathering recipes for your favorite cocktails, whether a local specialty, a family tradition or a drink available at every bar around the world!

Please include any stories you may have about the drink – did you meet your future husband? Throw a glass of it on your mother? Drink it every birthday? – and if possible, add some illustrations! Loosen up and run wild with this journal!

Pagan Cookbook (Birthday Books Vol 19 of 41)

Favorite recipes. Moon cookies? Triple Goddess three bean salad? Lammas Breads? Bring the magick out of your kitchen and into these pages. When the pages of this journal are filled, please return it to bookmooch user: zenfish. Thank you.

RE: Birthday Books vol 1-41. I was very excited to read about the bookmooch journal project as I usually celebrate my birthday with art/performance art madness related to the number in question. In August I will be a delightful 41 years wild. I have purchased 41 blank journals and am giving each individual themes. When all the wayward art has winged its way home to me, I look forward to a local celebration to share and enjoy these books with friends.
