November – Who hears November at the gate?

November is the eleventh of a set of journals I am creating to celebrate the months of the year. These will be released month by month. They are for anything to do with the month: why you like or dislike it, what it means to you, poems, books, artwork, music, songs, photographs, stories:- whatever you are inspired to do.
Put your entry wherever seems appropriate.
Rules:
Don’t alter anyone else’s work.
Keep for no more than two weeks.
Relist promptly.
Be willing to send anywhere it is requested.
When the journal is complete please reserve it for me and I will mooch it back. If pages start to come loose let me know please, and I can mooch it back and remake the book and repair as necessary.

Unfortunately this journal has been kept by an inactive moocher and all attempts to recover it so far have failed.

A Right Brained Woman Trapped in a Left Brain Life! Inspire Me!

This is my first try at sending out a bmjournal and I am starting with a thin smallish book. It is only 6″x6″ inches and just has about 18 pages in it and very light. Don’t keep it more than a week or two. It will get around quickly, and be inexpensive to mail also.  I NEED INSPIRATION! I am a Right Brained Woman Trapped in a Left Brain Life! Please help me! After years of neglecting my creative & artistic side… I want it back!!! I am taking at the very least 1 hour a day to nurture that child, and I do need help! Show me your wonderful creations and help inspire me! Tell me how you get your inspiration, who is your muse, and what you create. Get wild and crazy! I don’t care. Just have fun.
Get as creative as you would like, add a drawing, write a poem or a thought. Anything and everything goes! From collages, photos, ACEO, altered art, scrapbooking, & quotes, to anything else that “floats your boat”. Please stick to one to two pages (a double spread) in the journal per person- I would like as many people as possible to share! Feel free to use the triple page inside covers too!
I left the front & back covers incomplete, so everyone can add one or two items as a collective artwork. I think it would be fun to start your cover artwork by using someone else’s cover art for your inspiration. This way it would be a chain of creativity that you could see.
Please be respectful. Don’t write on the same page of someone else’s contribution, and don’t change or add to anyone’s entry. (Except, of course, for the cover art work.) Just be courteous of others.
If you feel up to it, share something about you…as little or as much as you want! It would be nice to put your name, state or country, date your work & use your bookmooch info. If you do Artist Trading Cards send one to me via my contact info in the book and I will gladly send you one of mine. (Just remember- I need inspiration!)

Gorgeous goats.

We have kept dairy goats for the 30 years we have lived here and a few years in the Welsh Marches before we moved to the rolling countryside of West Wales and Cardigan Bay.I shall write a bit about the first goat we ever owned, Cloe, and every time the journal comes back to me I will write a bit about the different goats and the different breeds we have kept or known. In the U.K. people tend to talk about billy goats and nanny goats, but I prefer the terms bucks and does. To me billy goats and nanny goats belong in fairy stories, but you are welcome to make an entry about the goats of your country, or of myth and fables or to draw or photograph goats.
Please make sure the journal gets passed on promptly. I have journalling guidelines in my bio. If you have difficulty keeping track of your journals keep them on one shelf and relist them on arrival, and send out as soon as mooched after a maximum of two weeks from receiving a request. Then I can see a completed journal in my lifetime! I make the journals light for posting but I can add more pages whenever it returns to me and upload the entries to the journal site.

Now recovered and back in circulation.

Favourite Movie lines.

I contributed to a similar journal and wanted to do one of my own. Pick your favourite movie line and create a page around it.
Please don’t alter anyone else’s contributions.
twiglyt
Please note this journal is not the same one as Favorite Movie Lines previously listed and still travelling as well.

Surf and surfing.

I’ve never been surfing, and I think it is to late to start now, but along with gliding, it is a sport which attracts me, and I wish I had lived by the sea earlier and surfing had taken off at a time when I could have indulged in it!
The BBC Wales website ran an illustrated article about surfing in Wales recently, from where much of the information here comes. I concentrated on my area of Mid Wales – Cardigan Bay, although the south coast is the most popular and the North the most dramatic for surfers.
I was surprised not to find a journal on surfing already, so hope you will enjoy this one and add stories of surf, surfing, surf music etc..
Please respect the work of other and keep to the journalling guideline of two weeks per entry, and do not delay in relisting or sending . In the spirit of Bookmooch journalling if you can’t send abroad please arrange an angel to send it where-ever it is requested, and return to me when full or needing extra pages or repairs.

3 wordless melodies.

The theme of this journal is wordless melody or song. This includes vocalised sound, but not words; sound produced mechanically or on musical or non-musical instruments, natural sounds etc.. Excluded is anything with words, although guitar, sax. or drum breaks in the middle of a song are acceptable.
Take 4 pages for your entry.
The idea is to list three such wordless things which you regard as worth listening to, whether you love it, hate it, or just are amazed by it, taking a page for each of the three ideas. You can write as small as possible to fit a lot onto your page, or include illustrations, photos, pictures etc. and preferably a sound-track, either as a url or recorded as a CD or mp3 and a link given.
Your fourth page (whatever order you choose) is to pick one of the previous moocher’s offered soundtracks to listen to and to comment on it. Please also date, sign in some form and add BMid to your entry.
I have left enough pages for 6 entries and then it should return to me (I’ll mooch it back). I will comment on one of the last moocher’s offered sounds and add three more on new pages and send it off again. If it gets too heavy I’ll upload the entries to the journal site as a slide show and just include the starter pages before resending.
If it needs repair or additional pages let me know and I’ll mooch it back. Please keep it circulating, and have fun!

and BookMooch Journals forum:
http://bookmooch.com/m/forum/bookmooch_journals/
The forum is a good place to advertise the availability of journals. PLEASE ONLY RELIST ON BOOKMOOCH!
It is also sensible to check that anyone requesting a journal from you understands what journalling involves. It is distressing when we lose journals.

What is your favorite song?

Everyone has a favorite song. Usually, you have more than one depending on your mood or even just the time of day. So, answer a few “favorite song” questions for me. Please include the title of the song and the artist/band. Also, include a little information about you! 🙂 Obviously, you don’t have to answer all of these, but please answer (at the very least) the two most important questions: What is your favorite song and why?
I love music and I can’t wait to get this journal back filled with other’s views on their favorite songs! I’ve included a mix CD of some of my favorites and some extra CD sleeves for anyone who wants to include their own mix CD. I’m looking forward to reading your entries and listening to your favorite songs!
Please contact me when the book is full!

Beautiful butterflies.

Walking in the fields today the hedgebanks were heavy with butterflies seeking nectar from the early autumn flowers, the vetches and dandelions of our hedgerows. Butterflies have been scarce this year, but the red admirals out in force today were a lovely spectacle.
Write about your best loved species, an incident involving butterflies or a type you would love to see.
Please respect the work of others and their effort and pass this journal on promptly and to where ever it is requested. Please look at my journaling guidelines in my bio, and be prepared to keep to them.  I make my journals small and light so they are cheap to post, and can add extra pages or effect repairs when needed, or full. Just mail me.

Photos from another life Journal

A BMJournal project.
Everyone has pictures of people they barely remember, just sitting about collecting dust. Sometimes, photographs are the only memories left of people after they fall ut of our lives. Whether they die, move, or fall out of touch, some people just don’t stay.
That’s where this book comes in: share your memories of people whose names you’ve forgotten. Paste a photograph of a person whose name you don’t remember onto a page of this journal, write a brief fictional story on the other side of the page, and pass the book on. Who knows, maybe somebody else will recognize them.
When the last page is filled, contact AbstractSteel for return instructions.
