November – Who hears November at the gate?

November is the eleventh of a set of journals I am creating to celebrate the months of the year. These will be released month by month.They are for anything to do with the month: why you like or dislike it, what it means to you, poems, books, artwork, music, songs, photographs, stories:- whatever you are inspired to do.
Put your entry wherever seems appropriate.
Rules:
Don’t alter anyone else’s work.
Keep for no more than two weeks.
Relist promptly.
Be willing to send anywhere it is requested.
When the journal is complete please reserve it for me and I will mooch it back. If pages start to come loose let me know please, and I can mooch it back and remake the book and repair as necessary.

Mr. Men

This Mr. Men journal is created using an old Mr. Men Notebook, with illustrations on many pages by the Hargreaves. Please add your entries around the illustrations, and when it is full return it to Bella U.K. (id brella) for her and her daughter Maisie, who journal together.

Please keep the journal moving so that it returns to her completed before she has left school and started earning her living! 😉 Happy journaling.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words.

I have lots of photos that I enjoy. This journal is a small photo album with clear pages in which to slide photos. Take a picture, use one you have or draw your own to share and tell us about it!!! I used the back of the photo for my words and I’d like to keep it one sleeve per person since there aren’t that many (but that’s kinda two pages since you have front and back!). Please don’t alter the work of others! When full, please let me know and I’ll mooch it back – Jenny Stafford, jfit. Have fun!!

A Nice Cup Of Tea.

A journal all about tea. Mark drinks coffee for choice, but for me you can’t beat a good cup of tea! This is a place to celebrate tea, in all its guises, and to express yourself in words or pictures. The journal is no bigger than an elegant teacup and the journal will post in an ordinary envelope.

Happy Birthday, Teenager – A Devil’s World?

The first part of the title of this journal is taken from a notebook Mark made for Kieren, with a strange teenager birthday card stuck on the front. The second part is Kieren’s own ‘Working title’ written inside with an odd ripped paper heads, bodies, legs illustration he made. He also decorated the back cover with weird faces, but removed the pages he had used.

I hope people will add their own observations, nightmares, tips, bouquets and brickbats for the teenagers in their own lives. Kieren has a teenage step-daughter himself now and Adrian has a daughter in the last year of her teens, so perhaps the advice or reminiscences will be of interest to them when it is filled.

When full please mail me to mooch it back, or if it needs repairs meanwhile. Please keep to the journaling guidelines in red in my bio, and keep journals circulating by making an entry, relisting and sending promptly to moochers.

Unlikely friendships

There are some bizarre friendships forged in the animal world, and living on a smallholding I have been able to observe some of these strange and unlikely friendships struck between animals. Dogs seem particularly prone to cross-species friendships, and both our sheepdogs have befriended our cats, one also used to babysit the goat kids. Some of those I found are even odder, and most show long-term friendships.

I thought about the most icongruous friendships possible between people – Idi Amin and Ghandi perhaps, or … but Mark pointed out that truth is sometimes stranger than fiction: see Lloyd Webber & Brightman for ‘beauty and the beast’ or Arthur Miller and Marilyn Monroe for glamour and Academia.

Whether real or imaginary, animal or human this is the place for unlikely friendships of all kinds, your own or those of others.

Dinosaur Fever

My daughter and I love to journal and be creative so we’re creating a set of journals on various subjects to celebrate shared art and creativity.

This journal is for my dinosaur-mad autistic son. It is blank and ready to be filled with whatever dinosaur inspiration strikes you 🙂 The first few pages have some dino art/thoughts in already and you’re welcome to add any art, words, stories, poems, songs, doodles or photos.

Use as many or as few pages as you’d like to share your dinosaur thoughts.
