This journal is for everything about plaid. In the United States a plaid is the criss-crossed pattern. In the United Kingdom the pattern is called tartan and the plaid is a blanket or shawl. Do you have a favorite plaid thing? What is your favorite pattern? Or, were you really mad about plaid because you were forced to wear a kilt or tartan as a child and have some bad plaid stories? Please use your stories, drawings and pictures to document your thoughts and ideas on plaids and on plaid, tartan, gingham, tattersall and madras patterns in this journal.

Use as many pages as you need but don’t alter any one elses work.

Please make your entry and relist within two weeks. If you don’t mind relisting when you receive the journal (in order to speed the process up) please do.

This is a spiral bound book of envelopes. Please alter the envelope and enclose a tag or note. The theme is ‘FEAR’ and you can explore any facet of that theme in your entry. You can alter any part of the envelope…just please make sure you do something to the self-sealing part so that it does not stick together.

This journal is for your thoughts and ideas about squares. This could be board games based on squares, your town square, or a recipe for Battenburg cake. All types of squares are welcome here!

Please don’t be square – pass it on promptly, making sure you relist it by the number given opposite, otherwise journals lose their unique slideshows and get lost. Mooches should always be done by the number to keep the ‘paper trail’ to the journal’s whereabouts.

I make my journals small and light to reduce postage costs. If it needs additional pages, a bigger ring binder, repairs or is complete; please mail me and I will mooch it back and relist when done. Please mail any additional pictures for inclusion in slideshows of journals to bmjournals@gmail.com
