A Seuss celebration.

I love Dr. Seuss!! I can remember reading his books as a child and I spent many nights reading them to my own kids. Do you have a favorite book or character? Tell or show us!! Use any medium you want, just don’t alter the work of others. When full, please send to Jenny Stafford, jfit.

My own dictionary.

I recently found a children’s dictionary book that is the inspiration for this journal. This is for your OWN definitions!! For example, my definition of ‘dictionary’ is “a good booster seat”. A ‘hole’ might be a “way for a child to reach China”. Use your imagination to create your own – we all actually use our own creations every day without thinking about it! Use one page only, but feel free to use any medium you’d like. Please don’t alter the creations of others and don’t worry about any kind of alphabetical order or anything. When full, please return to Jenny Stafford, jfit.

The Book of Hills.

This journal is to celebrate hills and all things connected with hills. My adopted country, Wales is particularly rich in its words to describe hills. Forget the idea of there being 9 words to describe snow in Inuit. languages – Welsh has seventeen words that I know of for different types of hill, and has probably far more! Well it is predominantly a land of hills, although there are some mountains in the north.

Write about your local hills, hills of your childhood, things you like to do in the hills, what a particular hill means to you. Draw, add photos, wherever you like, but please do not alter anyone else’s entry.

If the journal is sent promptly wherever requested there should be no problem with completing an entry and re-listing within two weeks.

If you find you can not do so please re-list, email me and I will arrange to return it to you point-free at a later date.

If it needs repair or extra pages added, contact me and send it back to me. I can rebind and add or repair as necessary. When it returns to me I will scan and upload images to the journal site, for all to see.

Please ask for the same conditions to be met, as are listed in my bio. If you want a copy of these to add to your bio, mail me and I will send them as text. Happy journaling!

The poetry of Emily Dickinson.

Emily Dickinson is such an interesting poet. This book is full of poems that I’d like to have illustrated. Pick a poem and illustrate it as you’d like, using any medium – just don’t alter the work of others. When full, please return to Jenny Stafford, jfit.

“Love is…”

This journal was inspired by an episode of “Doctor Quinn” I saw recently. The children wrote essays about “What is love?” and it was clear that it means many different things. Please take a page and tell me what “Love” means to you. You can use your own words, quotes, song lyrics, pictures, etc. It can be as sensible or as quirky as you like.

One spirit.

What does ‘One Spirit’ mean? I saw this journal and immediately thought of everyone being as one in harmony, but then thought it could also be bringing the different aspects of one’s self onto one path. ‘One Spirit’ can mean different things to different people, so I’d like to hear what you think. You can use words or pictures to share your thoughts, just don’t alter the work of others. When full, please return to Jenny, jfit.
