I am creating this journal to be about anything and everything to do with creatures living in and under lakes, ponds, streams, seas and oceans. You can include real, fantasy or science fiction entries. Feel free to use whatever medium you prefer and write, paint, draw or collage your entry. Please take as many pages as you like, but don’t alter anyone elses work.

This journal a flying visit to the United States thro’ postcards contains postcards depicting various parts of the United States. They were amongst a box of some 60 years of postcards collected by members of my family. Use the page facing the postcard to write, draw or tell a story about the place shown. I have left a few plastic sleeves where you may insert a postcard of your own showing an area of the US I have neglected* if you wish. (*My apologies there are many).
From time to time I will mooch it back and rebind it to include a few extra added postcards. If many are added I may add a second volume later.

Please make sure you relist by the number shown opposite within two weeks of receipt, and whilst being prepared to send onwards promptly, only accept requests for journals from friends of the journal library. If your moocher is unknown to you, please check that they understand what journalling is and will keep journals circulating.

Transport through Postcards

This journal contains postcards depicting various methods of transport. Use the page facing the postcard to write, draw or tell a story about modes of transport you know about or have encountered. I have left a few blank leafs where you may insert a postcard showing transport of your own if you wish.

Postcards of the United States

This journal is for new and used postcards of different locations around the USA. A nice 4 X 6 photo would also be great! I have created several postcard journals now and was unsure at first how explain what to do but I think the following works the best. Either write on the back of the card, if you only want to take up one slot or don’t have much to say about the card. Or, if you prefer take two slots, one for the card and one for anything you want to say about the card. A folded piece of paper or cardstock would work good for this. If you do this it will probably work best if the picture is opposite the write up (that way the write-up can be read without turning the page) so feel free to place your entries where and how you would like.
Take as many slots as you would like but don’t alter any one elses work.

Weird and wonderful animals.

When I mooched BMJournal Animals of Life which had been incorrectly listed just as Animals, and thus lost its links, I did not realise it was really concerned with pets and animals the moochers had kept, but expected a journal about all manner of animals. So I decided to create one especially for those curious and odd and strange animals of the world.
Please feel free to fill as many pages as you like. I can add more pages when it is full, rebind or repair as necessary.
Please relist by the number given opposite wthin two weeks of receipt. If it does not get mooched within 3 months contact your local shelf-holder (listed in the bmjl bio) and they will mooch it and add it to the library inventory at bmjl.
Please be respectful of other journallers’ entries and help keep journals circulating. Make sure your requester is a bmjl friend and understands the rules of journalling.
Photos or scans can be sent to bmjournals@gmail.com for adding to the slideshow on the journal’s Bookmooch page.
Full journals can be returned to bmjl for scanning and return to their creator, or listing as a completed journal at their request.

Wine & Vineyards

This little journal is a mini-calendar of Wine Vineyards. I’m turning it into a journal about Wine and Vineyards. Please add your thoughts, pictures and drawings and wine labels – anything to do with wine, wineries or vineyards to the date side of the calendar. Button, Button, Who’s Got the Button?

Remember the games kids used to play before there were 100 channels on TV or computers or video games? I don’t mean board games, but those games you made up or played that required nothing or very little to play. You used a button, a ball, a pen and paper or a piece of chalk. I’d like this journal to be about anything and everything about those simple childhood games. You may draw, write or add pictures – anything to journal your thoughts about those games.
